Coachella 2025 Weekend 2 – Your Saturday Guide: Who Delivered, Who Disappointed, and Who You Shouldn’t Miss

If you're heading into Coachella Weekend 2, Saturday’s lineup promises a little of everything — brat-pop chaos, pop-punk catharsis, orchestral grandeur, and late-night hip-hop fire. Day 2 of Weekend 1 was packed with guest appearances, big swings, and a few surprises (for better or worse). Whether you’re in it for the spectacle, the singalongs, or a break from the EDM crowd, here’s your full breakdown of what’s worth your time and what might be worth skipping.

Must-See Sets (Plan Your Day Around These)

Charli XCX — 7:15 PM, Coachella Stage

Genre: Electropop / Hyperpop

Set Length: 55 minutes

Why Go: Charli's "Bratchella" set was everything a main-stage pop show should be — controlled chaos with sharp styling, focused staging, and a guest list that made headlines. Troye Sivan (“Talk Talk”), Lorde (“Girl, So Confusing”), and Billie Eilish (“Guess”) elevated the show into an all-star pop moment. Charli focused almost entirely on the Brat album, but her closer “I Love It” threw it back for the OG fans.

Highlights: Her command of the stage despite minimal props or backup dancers. Every transition was tight. She kept the energy bratty and the audience locked in.

Don’t Miss If: You want a dance-pop show that balances style and substance with surprise guests to scream for.

Green Day — 9:05 PM, Coachella Stage

Genre: Pop Punk / Rock

Set Length: 1 hour 40 minutes

Why Go: Green Day proved why they’ve endured for nearly four decades. They plowed through hits from Dookie to American Idiot, injecting political bite with updated lyrics targeting MAGA and referencing Palestine. Billie Joe Armstrong’s presence was electric, and the crowd — phones in the air, voices loud — matched it.

Highlights: “American Idiot,” “Jesus of Suburbia,” and that full-crowd Bohemian Rhapsody sing-along before the band even came out.

Don’t Miss If: You want catharsis, nostalgia, or just a high-octane rock show that means something.

Gustavo Dudamel & the LA Phil — 6:25 PM, Outdoor Theatre

Genre: Classical / Orchestral Crossover

Set Length: 50 minutes

Why Go: One of the most surprising hits of the weekend. The LA Phil brought cinematic scope to golden hour with a set that ranged from Beethoven and Wagner to collaborations with Laufey, Maren Morris, Becky G, Zedd, and LL Cool J. “The Imperial March” flowing into “Rock the Bells” felt like a once-in-a-lifetime mashup.

Highlights: Laufey’s “From The Start,” Maren Morris’ “My Church,” and Zedd’s lush reimagining of “Clarity.”

Don’t Miss If: You want a moment to breathe without compromising on spectacle.

Enhypen — 8:35 PM, Sahara Tent

Genre: K-Pop

Set Length: 45 minutes

Why Go: The fastest K-pop group to hit the Coachella stage made their debut count. Enhypen delivered sleek choreography, slick visuals, and a post-apocalyptic-to-heaven stage design that created a full narrative arc. Songs like “Paranormal” and “XO” hit hardest.

Highlights: Their immersive staging and confident crowd work.

Don’t Miss If: You’re even slightly K-pop curious — this was polished and powerful.

T-Pain — 5:25 PM, Coachella Stage

Genre: Hip-Hop / R&B

Set Length: 50 minutes

Why Go: A total surprise. T-Pain brought wild energy, party vibes, and genuine joy. He rattled off a run of hits (“Buy U a Drank,” “I’m N Luv,” “Kiss Kiss”), plus a few inspired covers. More importantly, he had the crowd dancing, cheering, and fully in it. Just good vibes all the way through !!

Highlights: His take on “Don’t Stop Believin’” and the fact that the set never lagged.

Don’t Miss If: You’re here to dance, laugh, and let go. One of the most fun sets of the day.

Other Notable Sets

HorsegiirL — 9:45 PM, Mojave

Genre: Internet-core EDM / Techno-Horse-Fever-Dream

Review: Grass on the stage. Horse mask on the DJ. This set was weird, chaotic, and kind of genius if you like high-energy absurdism.

Above & Beyond — 9:45 PM, Outdoor Theatre

Genre: Trance / Progressive EDM

Review: Gorgeous and euphoric — but tragically overlapped with Green Day. Worth catching if trance is your thing, but expect a split crowd.

Beth Gibbons — 9:40 PM, Gobi

Genre: Art Pop / Experimental

Review: Haunting and intense. A spiritual comedown set for fans of Portishead or avant-garde vocal work.

Skip (or Consider Only If You’re Curious)

Travis Scott — 11:40 PM, Coachella Stage

Genre: Hip-Hop / Trap / Experimental

Set Length: 1 hour 15 minutes

Why Skip: While Travis brought his usual spectacle — floating dancers, rappelling stunts, a brass-backed “TELEKINESIS” — the overall show felt redundant if you’ve seen him before. It was visually stunning, but creatively stagnant.

Highlights: The marching band intro and the pyrotechnics still made for a visual thrill.Heads Up: If you’ve seen a Travis set before, you’ve seen this one.
